Baja California And Nuevo Leon Mexico's Top Employment Generators
According with latest reports made by Mexican Health Care Institute, Nuevo León with 9.696 new jobs and Baja California with 3.590, were the top states concerning the creation of jobs in the Northern part of Mexico during May. In the other hand, Chihuahua (1265), Coahuila (539) and Tamaulipas (231) are the states who generated fewer positions
At the same time, Nuevo León had 1,214,099 registered employees in May of 2011. Nowadays it is the entity with the largest workforce of North Mexico.
Regarding Baja California, the numbers changed from 637 to 641,151 workers registered in May, which means that this state created 3,598 jobs. Also, Sonora produced 2,754 jobs, even though it has a smaller workforce comparing to Chihuahua.
In the case of Tamaulipas, this state created 553, 412 jobs, which are 231 less employees than the past month. Concerning Chihuahua, had 647, 231 enlisted workers in April, but in May it increased to 496,000.
In 2011, 327,081 formal jobs have been created, since the employees count with Social Security, informed Ernesto Cordero from the Ministry of Finance and Javier Lozano, Job Secretary at Mexico. During May, 53,646 new workers were enrolled at the Social Security system.
According to the Job Secretary, the creation of jobs has reduced since the first months of this year, because 118, 126 positions have been generated comparing to 2010, were 445,207 new formal jobs were reported.
