In Tijuana, there are 25 registered residential telephone lines per 100 habitants and 90 of each 100 people have a cell phone account, according to the Federal Commission of Communicatios (COFETEL).
These facts show the leading role of Tijuana in the use and development of telecommunication services in Northwest Mexico.
